Executive Management

Peter C. Freebeck, M.D., attended medical school at the University of Chicago/Pritzker School of Medicine. His internship and residency were completed at the University of North Carolina, followed by his fellowship at Loyola University, specializing in pulmonary diseases and sleep disorders. His honors include: Wake Memorial Outstanding Senior Resident Award, Henry Fordham Award, Whitehead Award, Outstanding Internship Award, Summa Cum Laude, Graduate with Highest Distinction, Bronze Tablet, Anderson Kelso Award, Phi Beta Kappa, and Mothers Association Book Award. He is board-certified in internal medicine, pulmonary diseases, and sleep disorders. He is currently actively on staff at LaGrange Memorial Hospital, Hinsdale Hospital, Delnor Community Hospital, and MacNeal Hospital. Dr. Freebeck is the director of the Hinsdale Hospital Sleep Program and the Delnor Community Hospital Sleep Program. He has an extensive continued educational background in sleep, including CME credits, has trained other physicians for credentialing as Certified Sleep Physicians, and has written numerous publications. Dr. Freebeck joined Suburban Pulmonary and Sleep Associates in 1992. Dr. Freebeck’s passion for medicine and technology led him to start ASN, Inc. in 1996.

Jack Rozner was named president of ASN, Inc in December 2007, and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company including management, sales, development, and acquisition functions across all divisions. Prior to joining ASN, Inc. Jack held key sales and management positions with Xerox, Corometrics Medical Systems, Acuson / Siemens Ultrasound and Accuray Incorporated. He has developed strategic plans and led the tactical execution of major capital medical equipment campaigns. He also developed sales strategies for major healthcare integrated delivery networks and academic teaching hospitals. These strategies were used to secure technology initiatives for customers such as Mayo Clinic, University of Wisconsin, Marshfield Clinic, Northwestern Memorial Hospital, SSM, and Advocate Health Care. He has been recognized as a consistent winner of the Chairman’s Roundtable distinction, President’s Club achievement and many other performance-based sales and management awards. Jack is a graduate of the University of Illinois.

Jay E. Klompmaker, Ph.D., is Professor Emeritus of Business Administration at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler Business School, and owner and founder of The Klompmaker Consulting Group. At the university, Jay taught marketing, and served as director of the Young Executives Institute and the Executive Program, and also held the post of Associate Dean for Development and Corporate Relations. After earning a B.S. in metallurgical engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Jay spent six years in sales engineering. During that period, he earned an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago and then completed a Ph.D. at the University of Michigan. He has taught in executive education programs at many universities and conducted seminars and management development programs for numerous corporations.

Robert Freebeck has served as a director of ASN, Inc. since 2004. He retired from Federal Signal Corporation as vice president of administration. Previously he was the vice president of the controller signal division. He also worked as controller of Guardian Electric Corporations, as treasurer of National Video Corporation, and as a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Illinois.

Sunil S. Desai, M.D. attended Jawaharial Nehru Medical College in Belgaum Karantak India. His Residency was completed at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan and his Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr. Desai was voted “Resident of the Year” by his peers in 1995. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Diseases, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine. He is currently on staff at Delnor Community Hospital, Hinsdale Hospital, LaGrange Memorial Hospital, MacNeal Hospital, and Rochelle Community Hospital. Dr. Desai joined Suburban Pulmonary and Sleep Associates in 1999.

Paul J. Jagielo, M.D. attended medical school at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, Illinois. He completed his Internship and Residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He performed a Fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa. He was on the faculty at the University of Iowa in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and continued medical education in Sleep Medicine. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and Sleep Medicine. His honors include Summa Cum Laude, Alpha Sigma Nu Honor Society, and Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He received the 2006 Physician Tutor of the Year Award from the Family Practice Residency Program at LaGrange Memorial Hospital. He is currently Medical Director of the ICU and Respiratory Therapy Department at LaGrange Memorial Hospital. He is currently on staff at Hinsdale Hospital, LaGrange Memorial Hospital, Delnor Community Hospital, and MacNeal Hospital. Dr. Jagielo is the Director of the MacNeal Hospital Sleep Program. Dr. Jagielo joined Suburban Pulmonary & Sleep Associates in 1996.

Mark S. Wicks, M.D., Ph.D. attended LSU Medical Center and completed his Internship and Residency at Northwestern University. Specializing in Pulmonary Medicine, he completed his Fellowship at Hines VA Hospital in Maywood, IL. Dr. Wicks is board certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Disease. Four times he has received “Tutor of the Year Award” at LaGrange Memorial Hospital where he is on staff. Dr. Wicks previously held the positions of Medical Director of the Respiratory Therapy Department, Chief of Medical Staff, Secretary/Treasurer of Medical Staff, and Vice President of Medical Staff, all at LaGrange Memorial Hospital. He is also actively on staff at Hinsdale Hospital and works with ambulatory sleep service. He researched and published “Use of Respiratory Magnetometer in Diagnosis & Classification of Sleep Apnea,” along with other publications. Dr. Wicks been with Suburban Pulmonary and Sleep since its beginning in 1978.

Frank L. Munoz DDS attended Northwestern University and graduated with honors with a Doctorate in Dental Surgery. He received a Bachelor of Science degree form Southern Illinois University in Biology. After Dental school, he completed the United States Dental Institute of Orthodontics two year course.
